America Needs a New Path to Wealth

America Needs a New Path to Wealth
America, it's time to forge a new path.

For most of the last century, the “American Dream” ran through a mortgage.

Our parents' mortgages were special because they were safe, offered regular people early access to leverage, and were ultimately used to hold an appreciating asset while time did the compounding.

That door has been closing for years: homes cost more, people rent longer for many reasons, and home buying early is out of reach for millions.

Then in the 2000s, we found that the tools that worked for decades building the prior generations’ wealth were no longer available to us — the young American professionals and families just starting out.

The country changed following the financial crisis, the emergence of a generation that held new ideals on independence and transiency, and underlying changes within the work force and middle class.

Suddenly, the mortgage was still offered on every corner, but it was no longer the effective tool used to compound wealth (or even just forge financial independence and stability).

That's why we built Ruth.

We are desperate to create the financial tools for our contemporaries that were offered to our parents and grandparents generations.

For starters, we are "modifying" the mortgage.

We have introduced a unique type of loan (structured similar to many mortgages), except instead of orienting mortgages around one (1) home, at Ruth we orient added exposure around the market.

To start, we want to help our customers and community members achieve better financial returns.

With adaptation of the Ruth ideals, together and over time, we can redistribute wealth in the best way possible.
